About

The roots of Faith journey can be traced all the way back to the Spring Doug and Nannetteof 1978, when as a young man, Douglas was given the opportunity to spend three weeks on a Missions trip that took him to the countries of Brazil, Argentina and Chile. From that point forward, Missions was always close to his heart. Missions continued to be a passion  as he and Nannette worked in various ministry capacities to further the cause of spreading the Gospel around the globe.

This seemed to culminate while pastoring in Missouri, where Douglas served as the District Foreign Missions Director. It was during this time that God began to deal with both Doug and Nannette about further invoivement. Then in December of 2009, Missionary Mark Shutes traveled to the church in Chillicothe, MO, where the Elkins family served as pastor, for a Missions Service. That morning was to turn a brand new page in their ministry, and the roots of Faith Journey began to break ground. After spending time in prayer and fasting, the decision was made to resign their position as pastor and move forward into Global Missions Ministry.

Doug and Nannette were married in July of 1979, and are the proud parents of three sons and one daughter in law, Kyle & Rachel, Elkins FamilyKristopher and Korey. All of their children are involved in ministry in their local churches, and Korey spent several months with his parents while they served in Latvia. Douglas currently serves as the Regional Coordinator of Revival By Design North America. Nannette is a writer and her works are available on her blog, Hope in the Healing, as well as numerous other outlets including the Pentecostal Herald. She also serves as Head Editor of Revival By Design Curriculum.
